I am attracted to Monumo by the talented team of diverse disciplines, engineering, physics and computing science, working closely to tackle the challenge of the multi-parameter, multi-disciplinary optimisation of modern electric motor drives. I am excited to be part of the team, developing design tools driven by deep tech for improving the performance of electric machines beyond the limitations of the established practice.
After completing her Phd in electrical machines, Xiaoyan joined the General Electric company, where she served for 10 years and led developments of permanent magnet generators. She also held the role of lead power system engineer at GE, responsible for power system simulation of navy ships, which cultivated her interest in systemized optimization of electric drivetrains. Between 2019 and 2022 she was with the University of Warwick as a senior research fellow, perusing her interests in electrical machine design and system optimization. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running and swimming.
